I love the movie, it was different in that bollywood is now doing what hollywood does, the building scene was amazing, the production of the movie is very good. John's role exceeded my expections, most actors would couldn't doing the torture scenes, cause of pride, in a bollywood flick the character becomes the actor and in hollywood the actor is no long the actor but the character. And I think John really pulled that off. I'm not a fan of Katrina's but I have to say I really liked her work and niel was very like able. Go see and enjoy :)

I don't understand why this movie is trying to show Indians as desperate to become American. That is not what constitutes success for Indians. And why are Pakistanis always shown as terrorists?

New York is arguably the worst film I have seen this year. It perpetuates racial stereotypes about Muslims and justifies the hostile treatment of Muslims by asking everyone to "forget the past" and start a new chapter with Barak Obama in charge. I cannot say that I expected much from the film given that it is Bollywood, but I did think that Irfan Khan would be mindful of the films he chose to act in. The film starts with stereotypical images of Indians trying to compete for "Americanness" as their prime objective in life. The theme continues throughout the movie. There is no analysis of the FBI or of the mindset of the characters or what they go through. Everything is superficial, exaggerated, unrealistic and very cliche. The soundtrack of the film is inappropriate. There is no breathing room. The music plays in the background constantly like a bad soap opera pulling emotions out of the audience. The dialog is moronic to put it mildly. I want to know who funds these terrible film? Why are they made? How are they made? This film is a loud speaker for US cultural hegemony and a tool for justifications for the War on Terror disguised as a critique of said War. Save your money.

The movie is excellent. Usually Indian movies dont have much concept and story in them, but this movie has really serious and important concept. John Abraham and Katrina Kaif have done their best. John is not just a pretty face with hot body in this movie but he actually acts very good. He does the emotional scenses very good. This is Katrina's best performance so far. And how can I forget Neil, all his movies are good but in this movie in particular I feel like he might be the next SRK. Over all the concept is good, performances are good and director has done in his best too. Kabir Khan rocks.. Must see this movie.

Excellent film! Loved it! Definitely one of the best Bollywood films to come out after a while! Neil has done an excellent job, he looks great and his acting is superb! His expressions and emotions were great, and he makes his character seem so real! He definitely stole the show! John and Katrina have also done a great job. I was impressed with Katrina, she has definitely improved in her acting. John and Irrfan have have also portrayed their characters well. Overall, the film explores the reality of life and really shows what people experienced and their emotions. Definitely a must-watch film!

This is a really good movie. A sensitive subject handled with balance. It also shows how Bollywood is now making movies as good as Hollywood. No forced song and dance routines, stupid comedians or fight scenes that defy common sense. The acting is wonderful. Every one of them John Abraham, Infan Khan, Katrina and Nitin Mukesh have done a wonderful job. For a relative newcomer Nitin Mukesh is very impressive. And Katrina has graduated from Barbie doll to an actress. Kabir Khan the director deserves praise. I really impressed.

Plot development was rather weak and the essential question of what turns an otherwise normal person into a terrorist was not really explored in very much depth, in my opinion. That being said there was much about this movie that I did like. The cinematography, acting and music were excellent.
