This movie moves at a snail's pace, and could have easily been 30 mins shorter. The issues addressed are certainly real enough, but Schmidt is a rather unlikeable character. His on-going monologue with the Tanzanian boy is very odd, and demonstrates how self centred Schmidt is. Kathy Bates is marvellous as always.
