DONT READ THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE!!! Okay guys let me sort a few things out for you. Every character who were at the hotel were personalities of malcolm. At the end John cusak works it out because they show him his face in the mirror and he realised that he was meerly a personality. The guy in the room with all the psychiatrists around him was the killer but it wasnt him mentally. The part in which the psychiatrists say 9 innocent one guilty means that only one of the personalities (the little boy) is the personality that is causing malcolm to kill. The little boy was killing off the other personalities one by one throughout the movie and after killing the final one (Amanda Peet)malcolms body consisted of only one personality and of course it was the evil one, hense why he attacked the men in the van at the closing scene. Hope this helps people out! :)

I think that finding nemo is an excellent movie because of the expectacular work that pixar studio had made for showing us a realistic film in a scenario very dificult to represent: the sea. Also it is great film it mades me laugh a lot. Well that is it... it is a must see.

Wow! This movie is great rather contradicting, confusing and drives u insane just to think about it and try to figure out what happened and what was happening, I know it was released last year but acyually I just saw yesterday on DVD, I didn't see it before cos I didn't think it was that good and I didn't like John Cusak, didn't personally think of his great looks & talent ofcourse which made him the right one to do that role. Anyway speaking about the movie I didn't really get it was it malkom rivers" who killed all the people in the motel on 1998 like the pyciatrist said that's y he was convicted with these murders that's y he'll be electrecuted!? Or was it the little boy Timmy" who really killed those people and the whole story was real? Or Malcolm invented thoses characters to explain to us what he really did when he was a kid, when he killed these people to in the end kill his mother since she's the main purpose for his murders (9 innocent 1 guilty) that's what he said "malcolm" and how did Edward(John Cusac) found out about the whole thing and that he wasn't real? 2 many questions inside my head I can't figure it out, so plz could somebody reply me and tell me what's exactly the deal here, I'm very confused here. Thanx waiting for replies. A late John Cusac fan!

Alright movie, but I am getting sick and tired of these kind of endings. Every second thriller has one almost identical to this movie's. One of these "Let's watch again to make sure this all adds up" kind of movies. Gee, remind ya of the Sixth Sense. Lacks originality.

Wonderfully put together movie and very intense. For anyone who has family/friends who suffer from schizophrenia this will definitely help you to have an understanding of what they may experience in a day to day life, and how they view reality to themselves.

Wow, this movie was AMAZING and a half! I had my eyes glued to the screen and my brain was trying to process it all at lightning speed. Even though Im not really sure of exactly who was real and who was a personality of Malcom's. I know John Cusack was a personality, and so was the little boy (Timmy) but was everyone else? What was the meaning of the moviestar, the blonde & her husband, Timmy's parents, Ray Liotta and the Con, Larry (the motel "owner") and especially Amanda Peet. I loved the movie to death (heheheh) but if someone could explain all of this to me it would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Well, I didn't really get the idea, when I first saw it. And yet I'm not sure about the "real" murders Malcolm committed; are they in any way related to the story? What do you think? The lawyer shows Malcom pictures of his victims. What about them?

Great Movie... great acting... great plot. I'm not quite sure what was so confusing about it. I thought the last 20 minutes kind of explained it all.

This movie was absolutely brilliant, though I'd have to agree and say it was slightly more than confusing. Okay here are some things I've managed to figure out. The reason Malcolm invented all of the characters and the scenario is because at the start of the movie it says that a lone boy was found at a motel alone (no connection to the motel where the story takes place), his mother who was a prositute abandoned him, thus he invented the little boy who was killing everyone (and for that matter the Larry the motel operator who hated whores) a reference to his mother who the real malcolm obviously despised! The only weakness was the fact that the 6 murders that malcom was acquitted of were never explained (apart from the fact that they were at the lakeworth apartments) the purpose of the story was to find out whether the violent alter ego of malcolm (the young boy) was killed which would then lead to a violence free malcolm, however at the end we see the violent side of the malcolm kill the young girl (the only survivor from the motel)! Both of those characters were fictictious, I came to the conclusion that Malcolm had a vendetta against the woman that were shown at the start of the movie and I can only assume they were prostitutes, hope this clears it up a little! If anyone has any views plz post!

If Ten Little Indians was a modern flick this would probably be as close as it gets. I enjoyed the background chosen, reminded me of the Bates motel. The ending is witty and unexpected.

This moviewas fantastic! Personally, I would have liked to see a bit more gore but thats just me :) I thought it was brilliant how they tied in the characters with the one body. I didn't pick it up til he was being spoken to. I thought that it was the little boy from close to the start and it was made blantently obvious when he went into the mother's room and suddenly she was dead. I guessed the ending halfway through so that was kinda disappointing. Other than that, I thought it was great.

10 until the ending. The ending was akin to the "it was all a dream" variety of endings... which happen to be my least favorite kind of endings. That aside the movie was great!

I love Liotta, but he's a waste in this one. A confusing movie, I thought. For once, I wish these directors would admit they're trying to copy Nolan's Memento where Guy Pearce is allowed to give us a brilliant performance. At least we know it's going to be a hard one to figure it out. Identity made itself confusing by adding more than it had to in the end and not enough in the beginning.

This movie was thought provoking - since I saw it last night I have been trying to figure out if there was a moral to this story as it ended without closure. I remember that there was some stuff right at the beginning of the movie which I believe would probably explain a few things for me - anyone wanting to see this movie make sure you take notes of the first 5 minutes of this movie I think it will make it less confusing. !!! Bring Back Movies with closure!!!

This movie is a first rate thriler. If you like The Usual Suspects you will like this movie. The mouth breathers who complain that it's too confusing or makes no sence should stick with Finding Nemo. Anyone with half a brain couldn't possibly be too confused to enjoy this movie.

One of the best films of 2003. This movie was dark, edgy, and kept you guessing throughout the whole film. The refreshing and original premise makes me hopeful for my favourite genre of suspense/supernatural flicks. I will place it up there with other classics like The Changeling, The Ring and The Sixth Sense. I thought John Cusack and Amanda Peet did an amazing job.

This was a pretty good movie... kinda freaky @ times and confusing all the same... I don't really wanna give to much away about the film but I do have to say that it was done well. I would have given it a 10 but the ending to me seemed like a bail out. Definitely worth a watch and a buy if you like thriller type movies.. I'm only giving it a 7 but I will purchase the DVD when it comes out.

This is the best movie that I've seen in the past year. The movie grabbed me by the throat and would not let go until the very end. Certainly parts of the movie seemed over-blown and ridiculous, but it is wrapped up nicely 3/4 into the movie. Identity was as suspenseful as movies by the master himself (Hitchcock) although not nearly as subtle. The movie was absolutely riveting. In fact, I can't remember the last time I was so involved in a movie. Some may be disappointed, but if you suspend your disbelief, you're in for one hell of a ride.

Yes this was one of the Best Movies about multiple personality's I have seen. The movie about Sybil and The three faces of Eve are old and inaccurate. Has any one really looked at this movie? M. P. D.'s are NOT killers but if you would have paid attention you would have figured out the plot when he was looking in the mirror and he saw himself as someone else... M. P. D.'s do really see the other personality when they look in a mirror. Best one to comment I guess is a M. P. D.

I had literally no expectations prior to seeing this movie, which is probably why I enjoyed it so much. It started off in a typical horror movie way, but halfway through there were a few twists and surprises that actually caught me off guard. The story, for once in movies of this genre, is original, suspenceful and entertaining. The cast is very good, with John Cusack and Ray Liotta in fine form. I recommend seeing this movie in a theatre because it is finely crafted. Enjoy!
