User's review

In a word, outstanding. This movie is slow to draw you in, but once it has you, it keeps you firmly in its grip until the closing credits roll. The story weaves along - alternating between Inman's journey and Ada's struggles back at Cold Mountain - introducing you to unforgettable characters along the way. The terror of war is juxtaposed with tiny gems of tenderness and humor. Really, just a quality movie. P. S. Renee Zellweger SHOULD get an supporting actress nomination for her role.
