Just in the first half-hour alone we're exposed to almost every imaginable evil that can be inflicted on young children. It doesn't seem like anyone is "normal", I. E dysfunctional families, physical & sexual abuse, mental asylums, arson, prison & stuff like that seem to be daily occurrences for these folks!! Yikes!! How Ashton Kutcher kept his own sanity is beyond understanding. This movie raises some interesting questions, but suffers from the "band-aid" type of ending where everything gets wrapped up a little too neatly. All in all not a bad film, just a little too hokey and intense at times. I liked the big Goth guy, he was a good character - and this tub-of-lard keeps continuously finding work way after his hilarious run on "Boy Meets World". He was definitely the most talented member on that sorry cast. On the skin scene, for those interested, VERY LITTLE nudity, a few seconds at most and none for the lovely Amy Smart, yet another disappointment. Before I close this one, Movieguru fans, a question for the philosophers: how does Evan suffer from the blackouts as a kid, when he only time-travels as an adult. Seems to me his memories should be fine if he hasn't gone back in time yet...
