[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] This movie tries to borrow from "Babe", but tries to make it 'hip' and 'smart' for a young, Y2K audience with flies rapping and beatboxing lame covers of songs like "Ebony and Ivory". But the worst part is the bodily substance jokes. The flies--the comic relief--land in coffee. One of them propels himself around by farting. They land in poop and celebrate by eating it. There is a pelican 'hit man' who poops on his victims. The flies get trapped in horse snot. PLEASE. Do we have to get caught in the lowest common denominator? I was caught by the pretty horses when I first saw this, but as soon as I left the theater, I started getting bothered by this. Also, many things were implausible--the animals were able to get themselves down to the racetrack to watch Stripes race, but they had to depend on the humans to let them in and out of stalls and open gates? And nobody questioned a goose, a horse, a pony, and a pelican at the big race?

I wanted to see this movie as soon as I saw the trailers. It was a great family movie with supurb animation and constant humor. It also showed kids that you can do anything that you set your mind to, even though the odds may appear to be against you.

I went to this movie to do the "mommy thing" and ended up loving the movie as much as my 11 year old daughter did... a great movie to share with your children.

This movie is ok to go and see if there isn't another childrens movie playing. But it wasn't anything special... rather boring actually.

I love family movies and this was a great one for adults & kids alike! My girls are 6 & 10, we all laughed throughout! There is some 'flies on poop' humour but that is reality. It was a really cute movie, with a great family story line. I defintely suggest this one!

I think it's an excellent movie & the fact that my Grand-Papa & Grand-Maman came with us made it more fun, especially that my Grand-Papa LOVES horse racing! Thank you [...]

I thought Racing Stripes was a nice movie for my 7, 8, and 10 year olds. They got all the jokes and followed the story line. There wasn't much violence (good for 7 yr old girl) nor 'love' junk (good for 8 & 10 yr old boys)

This movie was hilarious! One of the best family comedies in the last couple years! If you like sexual comedy movies e.g. Meet the Parents than this might not be for you because the humor in this movie is original and funny!

My 7 year old daughter chose to watch "Racing Stripes". I figured, let me make her happy even if it is not at all my choice of movie. Well, to my surprise, I really enjoyed "Racing Stripes". This movie has a sentimental side to it, but at the same time it really made us laugh. You would never expect this from a movie where a bunch of farm animals speak.

I actually liked it but contrary to what other people say it's not a movie for little kids. My 3 year old who's usually very quiet at the theater (Shrek 2) Shark tale etc... Couldn't stay put for one minute. I think that there's a lot of funny jokes, too mature for children to understand and there's way too much talking and not enough action. At the end when it was time for the race that's when my son finally started watching with interest. I think it was too much talking for my taste too, but older kids were laughing a lot. So if you have kids over 3 it's a good movie, 3 and under, stay home and rent it.

This movie is lots of fun! May be a tried and true formula, but it worked for me thanks to the voice talent and special effects. My two girls (7 and 10) adored the movie ("baby stripes is sooo cute! "), and my husband was laughing out loud.

This is a movie for the whole family to enjoy together. It tells the tale of an abandoned Zebra who is taken in by a man who happens to know a few things about training race horses. It happens that the Zebra's dream would be to race and be the winner. The movie shows love among fellow animals, love between humans, and the rivalry among some of the others. A heart-warming film with stars like Whoopi Goldberg give this show the formula for sucess! Follow through the movie to feel the happiness and struggles of the stars!
