Two men wake up in what seems to be a dirty bathroom. They are chained dont remember how they got there. Flashbacks slowly tells us who they are and what their purpose is. Things are slowly revealed to the characters and the audience, as they remember what happened to them. Now, Saw is the latest successful horror franchise. One movie a year is coming out and the audience isnt getting tired, they can go on like this until we all die in 2012. The social commentary stinks more than cheese, a kid could have come up with it. It looks like a bad music video a teenager would have created on his Mac in his bedroom. And the gore, I have nothing against gore, but that cannot possibly make a film any better. What does make a movie better? The same for any genre, good characters who seem to be realistic and a good plot. That is true with science-fiction, drama, comedies and horror. Unfortunately in the latest it's rarely seen. Most horror movies have clichés, lots of gore and lots of non-sense. If you havent seen the film and intend to see it stop reading. The ending doesnt work, it's not plausible for the killer to have been laying there all the time without making any noise or moving, or falling asleep and snoring. It's not a cool twist, it wasnt even possible to figure out cause the movie is badly manipulative. The performances are bad. Danny Glover is pretty much a parody of himself. The Jigsaw killer is laughable. Cary Elwes looks happy just to be in a leading role. Monica Potter never acted so badly in a film and Leigh Whannell, the main actor and also writer is alright, I guess, he couldnt have been worst. There is no depth, it's not as intense as it could have been , and it's not a psychological thriller, its just shallow, there is no way it can be compared to the likes of Seven or Silence of the Lambs, far from that league. For a good laugh, pay attention to the dialogues.
