Thoroughly enjoyed this one, especially the last half hour. It started a little slow, but I never lost my interest. It is very funny and also touching at times. Well acted, except for the Sandra Oh character(real estate agent driven by superficial values) See it, unless you require shooting and car chases in your movies..

Having grown up in small town Atlantic Canada, I can assure you that this film is absolutely, 100% dead-on accurate. With excellent performances from talented actors such as the exquisite Ellen Page, a delightfully twisty-turny plot and a refreshingly non-Hollywood style, this dark comedy is a must-see, especially the bits with Ellen Page. Get out to the theatre and watch it right now! Did I mention Ellen Page is awesome?

Hmm... I will admit, I love small-budget Canadian movies and I love black comedies. There is something missing in this one, however: perhaps some of the jarring inconsistencies are way too many, perhaps it's a totally unlikable heroine portrayed by Sandra Oh; too many pauses, too - you just listen to the music and are supposed to be moved, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. However, the superb performances delivered by some other actors, especially by the younger set, save the day. Save your money for now and rent it later.
