While the premise of the film was promising, the acting was shallow, and the scenes were disconnected and at times felt like a series of parodies. Full of tiny momemts of realism that could have been developed further to avoid the feeling of pure fantasy. Although European, the film has plenty of annoying Holywood cliches, which are certainly inappropriate in a film about WWI. While attempting to be a heartfelt reconstruction of the possible event of that night, the film only succeeded in mocking those events; moreover, the viewers had no sense of the difficulties faced by these soldiers in the continuing battle.
