I am not one of those who give every movie they like a 10. A 7 to me is a very good movie. This one is subtle in its style, but a knowledge of the political climate of the time, while not necessary, will enhance your enjoyment of this one. It finishes very strong, so if the length scares you away, go anyway. I never looked at my watch once, which is always a good test.
