Warning! If you have kids, this movie has inappropriate and gratuitous violence. The whole film is dark, has great 'production values' but what were they thinking when they added the violence on Lex's island? Combined with the over-the-top pseudo-Christian references, this film is a big disappointment. It could have been great - the acting and casting were excellent. Special effects were well done. But those violent scenes - completely out of place. Cut them out and the movie is almost a reasonable length.
