Steven Soderbergh's Direction is, as always, visually exciting. So is George Clooney. Stop there, a clip of the smile will do. While broken German may be 'de rigueur' for an American, it will not do for a German-born actor (Lena/Kate) As a Thriller the story has many flaws ( Do snitches really get paid before they deliver the merchandise? ) Not as complicated as Siriana, but drawn with the same Clooney calligraphy. George is not a storyteller. He is a picture.
