Comme toujours, Tom Hanks est excellent dans le rôle titre. Le film est très américain (ce qui n'est pas dans mes préférence) mais j'ai aimé connaître cette parcelle de leur histoire.

Pour les néophytes en matière de politique internationale, le propos est quelque peu incompréhensible, mais pas assez pour s'ennuyer car ce film demeure plutôt drôle et, surprise! Assez divertissant pour un film à saveur dénonciatrice. Faut dire que les Américains s'en sont mêlés... À voir!

Un cours d'histoire. Sans complaisance. Et qu'il faut voir absolument pour comprendre 2001 à 2007. Les tractations, la guerre froide, les alliances non avouées pour toutes sortes de motifs louables et pas louables du tout... Puis la conclusion... Tom Hanks qui veut "finir la job" et n'obtient rien d'un comité réduit et indifférent... Cette phrase, en substance, que lui lance le personnage de Philip Seymour Hoffman: "si vous ne faites rien, les fanatiques enturbannés que vous portez au pouvoir vont transformer le monde en poudrière"... Je ne vous dévoile rien de la fin en disant celà, nous la vivons chaque jour aux bulletins de nouvelles... Ce film vous aidera à mieux comprendre ce qui s'est passé à une époque où ni CNN, ni LCN, ni les autres réseaux d'information n'étaient là pour nous bombarder de comptes-rendus et de savantes analyses aux 10 minutes... En cette année d'élections générales aux USA, ce film est un "MUST". Quand un cours d'histoire nous est livré avec des acteurs de génie," live", c'est un devoir de s'y présenter...

J'ai beaucoup aimée ce film. Le jeu des acteurs est excellent. L'histoire est bien écrite et bien menée par les acteurs ainsi que tous les autres personnes. Un film à voir.
