This movie was the worst, it was very stupid. Please do not waste your time or money on this. I didn't want to see it cause I knew in my mind it would be bad, but I had picked the previous movie and my friend wanted to see this so I couldn't say no and seeing that I went with a friend I couldn't walk out off the movie.

I know this isn't the movie for everyone - at times my daughter and I were the only ones laughing - but we found it hilarious. It was good on many levels - the unfulfilled journalist finds guru, freeing the goats, etc. Ok - there are some slow moments, and you have to appreciate the silly parallels, etc. so if you like more straight forward laughs, this may not be your cup of tea.

Ok why does this clever and Entertaining film get such a low rating when complete Crapper films fare better?! Don't believe the garbage of those such as people who are in the military and people with I. Q.'s smaller than their shoe size. You WILL enjoy it if you do not fit in either category. Peace out!

It's very rare that the strength and the success of a film is carried entirely on the performances of the actors, however this was certainly one of those cases. Without the talents of a truly all-star cast to its credit, I highly doubt the movie would have been received even half as well. I don't think that is the fault of the director or the writer, but simply the nature of the true story that it was based upon. In order to enjoy this film, you definitely have to check all disbelief and cynicism at the door. If you do, you'll appreciate just how fantastic these actors are and maybe even laugh a little.

Good satire for those who lived through the Woodstock era. George Clooney does his comic serious take on himself, while the audience sees the reality - a classic clown.

This movie is about a lot more than goats and cheap laughs. It's a black comedy that is really asking the viewer to think beyond the obvious. Great acting by Clooney, Bridges and McGregor. If you are just looking for a mindless comedy think again- you need to work a bit harder to watch this one but it pays off. I didn't like Burn after Reading because it seemed pointless, without hope. This movie ends with a more positive message in my view.

This had to be one of the worst films I have seen in a long time. I would have walked out but went with a friend who wanted to see it. Otherwise, I would agree with the others don't waste your time and money on this one.

I think this movies tries to be a black satire like DR Strangelove but comes up half short. Some subtle humor, some good laughs and a few walked out. Then again some were left scratching their heads. Not half bad.

It *wants* to be a Coen Brothers film. It *wants* to be a clever, acerbic, darkly sarcastic satire of the US armed forces and its sometimes very strange practices. I suspect I enjoyed it more than most reviewers because I am old enough to remember when the US actually DID try idiotic things like 'remote viewing' for target acquisition. There's more to this movie that is factual than the general film-goer probably realises. There were some laughs, and it was a bit of a trip down memory lane, but it would have been much better if it *had* been a Coen brothers production. I recommend it as a rental, to people over 40 who like satire.

I found this movie hilarious. The ending was histerical, and I loved the irony in a former star wars jedi playing the role of a reporter investigating the jedi.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] It's hard to believe this all star cast would agree to be in this movie. I get that they enjoyed taking shots at the Army (which isnt hard to do) but with that said it was dull, boring and it is hard to feel anything for the charactors or to believe in anything they are doing or saying. What is with letting the goats go and the LSD trip? The point? And the reporter going through the wall? Some funny stuff but not nearly enough to carry this movie!

Kind of stupid. People have to be creative in order to make other people laugh. Clooney shouldn't step forward for this kind of thing. Maybe he is bankrupt as Nicolas Cage.

This movie, while could have been great, isn't. I think it is the directors fault. The comedy timing is off by a giant mile. Trailers showed the only really funny spots in the whole movie. It is a spoof on by-done days and only oldies will remember those times and maybe not even then.

This is an excellent movie, have an open mind when you watch this movie, its very entertaining. I would definitely watch it again. It shows spiritual aspects, being one with the earth, and also its very symbolic, along with comedy which made it a great movie.

The theatre of war is especially well-suited for the style of "black comedy", and the comic possibilties of a military unit made up of psychic soldiers are almost endless. However, even the excellent actors in this movie could not make the dismal screenplay funny. Also, the flashbacks and narration by Ewan McGregor only served to confuse things.

I saw this with a friend of mine today and we both really enjoyed it. It is definitely off-the-wall & quirky, but it really is funny and kind of sweet. George manages to create a character that is ridiculous and yet simultaneously sympathetic, even noble. The whole cast is very good.

This is a charming spoof of wacky extremes of military research, and maybe a satire of militarism, period. The men who stare at goats are endearing as they seek a way to wage war without hurting anyone. A problem with the film maybe is that it's hard to tell if the movie is satirizing wackiness and in favour of militarism, or if it's a satire of the milirary. Clooney is deadpan funny and the whole thing is light and strange. Good fun, with some things to think about.

Bah. If you're deciding between this and another, chances you'll prefer the other. I like the cast; I like the offbeat humour. But really, it drags. Those who tolerate this one probably see very few movies and don't expect much. I see very few movies, am satisfied with average - and this really doesn't reach that standard. Sadly: Pass on this one. There's little more than the previews.

A lot of the funny parts are in the trailer. Don't get me wrong, it's always a treat to see Clooney play slapstick dumb, but overall this movie is not worth the price of admission. The general storyline is weak, lacks interest, and drags in several parts. A few chuckles, but not the promised laughs and expected interest. 5/10, so so, but don't pay full price.

I sit here trying to find a bad or good thing to say about this movie, and cannot. While I was enthralled at both McGregor and Clooney's characters, I couldn't help but be distracted at the senseless and jumbled plotline. I guess I expected more from this film, it had it's funny parts... but perhaps it's attempts at being serious rubbed me the wrong way.
