En terme de qualité, ce film ce situe entre le premier hellboy et le labyrinthe de pan. C'est à dire un bon film qui est très inégal. Ce film a des point très fort et d'autres très faibles. Sur un point de vue esthétique par exemple, ce film est génial. Les créatures, les effets spéciaux et les situations étranges et un brin tordu rende le film inoubliable et reste même fidèle à ce qui inspirer le dessinateur de la bd hellboy. C'est à dire, les démons de H. P Lovecraft. Mais le film contient aussi des lacunes évidentes comme la faiblesse de ses textes, de ses acteurs ainsi qu'une fin très prévisible. En résumé, on progresse, la série hellboy évolue en qualité. Tout ce qui lui manque maintenant, c'est du contenu.
