J'ai adoré, et je vais attendre la sortie DVD avec impatience n'en déplaise à la majorité des spectacteurs qui ont écouter 40 minutes du film et sont sortis. J'ai accroché, le scénario politisé est géniale. La photographie, décors et surtout le jeu des acteurs (magnifique) vallent le coup de visionner ce chef-d'oeuvre au moins une fois dans sa vie...

C film aurait du être meilleur. Y est pas trop pire quand même le film, surtout que j'aime beaucoup les acteurs. Sean Penn et Jude Law sont a 100%. Par contre, je le trouvais un peu trop long et avec beaucoup trop de bla bla et des scenes inutiles qui auraient pu être evité. Je m'attendais à beaucoup mieux... mais bon.

Un excellent film politique, basée sur l'histoire véridique de Huey Long aka "King fish", jeu de mot avec le titre du film en version anglaise. Remplis d'allusions symboliques et de commentaires magnifiques. J'aime découvrir un chef-d'oeuvre quand la majorité ne semble pas apprécier. Ça me dit qu'il reste une parcelle unicité en chacun de nous. Qu'on ne pense pas tous pareil. Penn devrait être oscarisé.

Étant donné que je n'ai regardé que les 45 premières et interminables minutes, je ne commenterez que celles-ci. Nulles. Voilà ce qu, elles sont. J'ai pour conviction et principe que peu importe le film, il doit être écouter jusqu'à la fin avant d'être jugé, mais cette fois-ci, je n'y suis pas parvenue. Je commeterez donc les 45 premières qui sont longues, compliquées pour rien, absente de sens et très mal jouée. Le travail artistique est conventionel, mais pas decevant, d'où le 3 sur 10.

Les fous du roi... loin de Dany Turcotte... lol! Cest une introduction accrocheuse, je vous laccorde, mais je vous le promets, cest la seule phrase drôle que vous allez avoir pour cette critique. Jessaierez de faire ça court, pas comme le film qui nen finit pas de finir. D'un cul-terreux, (essayez de compter chaque fois cette expression dans le film et je vous donne un suçon), venu de sa petite ville jusquà un sénateur du sud américain véreux, Sean Penn ne me pas impressionné plus que ça. Jude Law est pas mal drable dans ce film et son récit se comparerait à un tracé de cardiogramme dun mourrant. Vous voulez entendre des discours électoraux qui disent presque toujours la même chose, un film noire, (ici je ne parle pas la majorité dans la Louisiane), des acteurs qui vendent bien au box-office et qui sont venus tirer leurs répliques sans trop de conviction, ($), selon moi.

Quel film sérieux! J'ai aimé avec modération et je lui reproche de ne pas utiliser bien ses acteurs excellents. Pourquoi prennent-ils toujours Jude Law pour des rôles de gars mou sans colonne vertébrale? Et il m'a été pénible de revoir des acteurs qui deviennent de plus en plus obèses comme Gandolfini, Hopkins et même Sean Penn qui a trop engraissé. J'ai dû m'habituer à leur nouveau look avant d'apprécier leur jeu d'acteur.

Ce drame pruduit par Columbia pictures, écrit et réalisé par Steven Zaillian ( The interpreter, Gangs of New-York, Hannibal, et autres ) offre une brochette d'acteurs des plus impressionnante: Sean Penn, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Mark Ruffalo et Anthony Hopkins. Le rythme lent de ce film sert l'action alors que se déroule la vie tumultueuse d'un politicien de la Louisiane dans les années quarante et cinquante, et que s'opposent populisme politique et aristocratie de la richesse à l'aube de la socialisation de l'action politique en Amérique. Les images, magnifiques, débutent par une prise en plongée qui prend tout son sens lors d'une des dernières scènes du drame alors que, telle une clé se retirant d'une serrure, le sens du film se dévoile et les noeuds se resserrent entre les protagonistes qui s'opposent. Les mouvements de caméra peignent des tableaux au brouillard lascif, les noirs et blanc et les effets " vieux film " servent l'action et surtout le climat de ce film qui traite des caractères fondamentaux de la société américaine: justice, prospérité, inégalités tant raciales que sociales, amité, amour et famille. La musique de James Horner ( Titanic, Appolo treize, Field of dreams, A beautiful mind ), sert parfaitement l'action et l'ambiance, et crée par moments des tensions qui se fondent parfaitement aux images. Magnifique prestation de Sean Penn, Kate Winslet, Mark Ruffalo et surtout Jude Law. Un grand film.

Le plus remarquable est le jeu des acteurs. Sean Penn va être aux Oscars, ainsi que Jude Law. Leur interprétation est tout simplement remarquable. L'histoire en version originale est parfois difficile à comprendre à cause de l'accent du sud, mais bien faite.

Je trouves que la qualité du film est excellente et qu'il vaut la peine d'être vu. Mais faut pas y aller et s'attendre à un petit film léger ou tout est évident et que tu comprends tout du premier coup. De plus, ce film contient une grosse brochette d'acteurs qui d'après moi sont magnifiques et jouent merveilleusement bien leur rôle. À ne pas manquer!
