Masterpiece! MJ is a genius and this movie really shows how bright and amazing he is. This movie is a great dedication and it's truly beautifully done. His rehearsal really shows us how his mind worked. Love you MJ!

Are you serious? Michael Jackson has an endless amount of memorable and meaningful moments and to have to sit and watch the same clips over and over again seems almost insulting to such a unforgetable icon. I thought it was terrible and something conjured up quickly and insincerely to just bank on such a tragic moment. The only good thing was hearing those fav songs and seeing those moves that bring nothing but a smile to ones face and an undeniable feeling of getting off the seat and dancing. One can only hope true Michael fans would feel the same way, this movie was a dud.

King of Pop forever. Michael Jackson is the best and this movie shows you a side of him never shown ever before on any documentary. A masterpiece, a must see! In cinema, not on dvd, because there's a lot of special effects of his show.

We had a bitter sweet experience, so deeply sad yet happy to be able to see MJ in his last performance, he just proved to the world that he was a true artist, a very unique talent and a heart so full of love... RIP Michael Jackson we love you forever...

I went on the advice of a friend (reluctantly) and was struck by how involved I got into the movie. In the end I was deeply saddened by the loss of such an amazing talent and how wrongly portrait and understood this man was in his lifetime. The film gave me a deeper respect for Micheal Jackson and condemnation for the press.

This movie bored me to tears. It lacks emotions, has not storyline and capitalizes simply on the fact that it is about MJ. No efforts were made to actually a 'behind' the scenes type of movie; it is simply a collage of scenes. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

This was a very inspiring movie, to see how talented the members were. It was unbelievable how they could dance. Very sad that M.J. was not here to complete his mission.

I had a chance to see MJ bigger than life. I never saw him in concert so this was the next big thing. I have seen TII 4x now and plan on going for a 5th before the run ends. Mj at his creative best, he still had the magic in him!

I liked the movie. I used to be part of a dance group and it really made me want to dance again! Really good dancers and choreographies! I was said that there wasn't more about Michael, the man. We see some of his personality in this movie, through his work, but it is a little repetitive: same attitude, different songs.

Interesting but not thrilling although I can visualize how exciting the concert would have been. I respect all of the artists who genuinely pour their soul and heart into the making of this performance. Although I was not a fan, I must admit that Michael Jackson was a visionary. In my opinion, the movie is a teaser. It's like salivating in front of a cake you'll never taste. It's a shame the concert did not happen. It would have been intense.

I finally got a chance to watch the film "This is it". Watching Michael Jackson, a true master of his craft, behind the scenes was a real treat. The show would have been spectacular combining elements of dance, music, film, amazing lighting and stage, and... Great dance routines and wonderful music shone through the film with references to war, to environment, to protest, and to indifference. Perhaps the loudest, clearest message was," they don't really care about us". A message that resonates well with the times and feelings of ordinary people everywhere. There was even a stronger message than all of these, perhaps an unintentional message, more of an inherent one, that of work, good old-fashioned, hard work. It was incredible to see Jackson to watch for the slightest changes of beat, tune, movement, light, stage, and just about anything. He was there all the time. This I knew from previous interviews about his work. People had said that Jackson would phone them at 6:00 am to ask for a minute change in a small part of a song or the other. And that is why I recommend this film to teenagers who spend hours and hours in malls looking for outfits resembling those of the Pop stars. The message bursting out of the film was work, and how much of it was involved where Jackson was concerned. His music and his dance were in top shape (he was fifty years old) That could not have come to him via dressing one way or the other or acquiring one life style versus the other. He worked for these, and he worked very hard. He was a professional to the extreme. I often look at teenagers so anxious to look like a Pop star not really knowing what is involved beyond the flashy images and all the media buzz. Unfortunately, there is hardly anything in the media about the amount of work involved in these shows. The importance of training, determination, and hard work is rarely brought up. Therefore, children and teenagers are left with the only thing they know of the person they are trying to imitate, the final mask at a very long hard road. I knew Michael Jackson was going to have a performance in London. And I had decided that I wanted to see his performance live. That would have been my first experience of his live performance. It is a pity it never happened. Watching the rehearsals I regret that even more. To watch him preparing for his performance was quite an experience. To watch a master and to marvel at human genius and determination. Regardless of all the buzz around his personal life, Michael Jackson was a genius at what he did, and as such, he is best to be watched at his craft. That is what I did when watching "This is it". I am still in awe.

I have to confess, I was expecting much more from this movie. I had heard comments before viewing about how this would change my opinion about M. J. and give me more insight into the "real" performer. None of this was the case. In reality, I could have stayed home and watched my neurotic cat hump the sheepskin draped over the back of the couch and learned as much as I did by watching the movie. At least the popcorn was good...

As an academic exercise, this film is definitely worth seeing. It is simply fascinating to see the depth and intricacies of putting on a major stage production; truly mind-boggling. Certainly, there is no arguing the vast talent Jackson possessed, but there is no new insight into who this terribly troubled, fragile-yet-capable, certifiably insane man really was. In that sense, the film is unsatisfying. This film is simply a tribute, nothing more. I hope that some day, a talented producer will engage more of the truth about the man who was indicted on 10 criminal counts, (some of which are horrendous) after an exhaustive Grand Jury investigation. I suspect that, like OJ, the truth will come out in dribs and drabs over the next few years until everyone recognises Michael Jackson as a truly dichotomous being; possessed of great warmth, and tremendous darkness simultaneously. In the meantime, if you want to see a 'how-to' on massively complicated stage productions, see this film. Enjoy.

A fabulous must see movie. It was like being at the concert that 'never was', even better. After seeing this movie I realize that had MJ lived and completed his concert tour, it would have gone down in history as the best concert tour ever, fabulous movie. This man was a musical genius. Don't miss it.

It truly shows the genius of M. J. and it's unbelievable talent in everything. Fred Astaire called him "the greatest dancer the world ever had" and he was right. I was also struck by his gentle voice and how he never raised it and by the praises and love that the crew had for him. I hope his kids get to see this since the film was dedicated to them.

I'm even sadder now that Michael is gone after seeing this movie. I watched him grow up and was devastated when he died. Thriller remains the only album that allows you to become immersed in the music. As the movie progressed, I became completely engrossed in only Michael! He was mezmerizing and you really didn't even notice the incredible backup dancers. After every song, another wave of regret passed at what could have been. Great movie and glad I got to see the hard-working genius behind the songs.

This movie portrays the genius that is Michael Jackson. I thought it was very well put together, too. When I left the theatre I was full of admiration for the artist and terribly sad for the premature loss. It's definitely the best film I have seen this year.

Brilliant Jackson. A great human being with grace and style. A terriffic mentor, tolerant and kind. An artist who gives unselfishly and stands high above Presley, The Beatles, Sinatra etal. The man is talented, very very hard working and a gift that we have lost. Thank you Michael. I never was a fan; no reason, just not a fan. Now I am and I'm so glad I saw you doing what a normal person does not see of stage. You are loved.
