I expected this movie to be a whole lot scarier. This movie was very average and the whole thing is made of pop-ups. The ending was a little too happy, and it made all the frightening parts not scary anymore. If the bad guy is a good guy then I just find that quite boring.

Pretty good horror film & scary that it's based on true story. Some overly repetitive horror imagery is a little annoying, but I guess tells us a story... I'd give it a 7.5 if I could. Virginia Madsen's acting was great as usual. Worth seeing. Made me a little paranoid in my dark apt. As I watched @ 10 30 pm!

This movie was... ok I guess. I watched this movie with my friend and we both weren't scared. Some "creepy" parts but none scary and each scary part was in the trailer. No surprises. I was disappointed. Its over rated, it shouldn't be 14A it should be PG. Don't watch if you like scary movies, you will be dissapointed too.

This movie was a little disappointing because the commercial makes the movie look so much better than it actually is. Don't get me wrong, like I loved the movie, I just wanted it to be more scary and more interesting like the commercials make it look. I prob will buy it when it comes out on DVD because I would see it again and they have little rhymes and stuff that make it fun to listen too :)

It was actually not bad. Lots of moments to try and make your jump in your seat. Suffers from the usual "why don't they just leave" problem with such average horror flicks but otherwise entertaining.

Great horror movie you usually expect horror movies to be really corny and not freaky at all, but this one was full of suspence and very scary parts. Great horror movie to see if you're into them.

I loved this movie. There were so many twists and unsuspecting scares. It wasn't necessarily a suspense scare, but you went home thinking of the movie and how difficult it was going to be to sleep that night.

I'm a huge horror movie fan and I loved it! All people who like horror movies should go. It was really scary and I was holding on to my date the whole way through. It has an amazing twist ending that left me just saying," Woah." Definitely worth seeing!

I thought this film was genuinely frightening in places. I even had some weird dreams after I saw it which doesn't happen very often. Maybe a bit clumsy towards the end and I am doubting that it was a true story somehow, but nonetheless, I think it is worth seeing for true fans of horror films. Better than Stephen Kings horror films, thats for sure.

It was a little better than your average horror movie, but a bit predictable. Not as good as the SAW franchise and I doubt how much of this movie is actually based on a real haunting. Id wait to rent it.

Wasn't expecting much and it didn't deliver much. The story had lots of potential but was not plotted very well. If they had just added some back story at the beginning, this movie could have been scary, but since there was no setup to them moving into this house that was a funeral home, you don't really get what's going on for awhile. Save your money and buy a condo!

Although the movie was a little over exagerated, it was very good. Based on a true story. Huh. Imagine how the family would feel. Coming from a Christian, You would wonder why God allowed this to happen. Anyway, if you love horror movies, this is a must-see!!

I was scared really bad, it was a waste of my time, but I was scared, see I'm weird, I know when someone is going to pop out and I still get scared, but some parts were just plan stupid, I'm not going to lie to you it looked scarier in the trailer though.

I liked the movie. I was jumping out of my skin. Yes it's predictable. If you watched "A Haunting" on Discovery channel, you'd get the jist of the movie. The movie exaggerates the real story. I can't believe the mother wouldn't believe her own son. But the bodies in a wall? Where did that idea come from? Hollywood obviously...

I LOVED this movie! I went to see the movie on a rainy night with my friends. When I came home it was pouring, and boy was I scared! It could have been a little more unpredictable, but I didn't mind too much. :P This is one of my fave horror movies!

This movie isn't pop-out scaring, it's the creepiness. Some parts seemed unbelievable, but hey I guess when one is dealing with evil magic anything is possible. And what added to the scariness was the fact that this is a true story. The acting was pretty good and the plot was very interesting.

I still haven't quite figured out why some movie audiences actually laugh during horror movies! ; Could it be that we have become so blazé after having watched zillion horror movies loaded with blood and guts and flying bodily parts all over the place? Or is it the way that some people deal with nerves when subjected to horror situations? ; Often it takes one member of the audience to laugh during a horror movie and soon enough you get many other 'copy cats' hop on and join him on that band wagon of ridicule!.. That's why it is refreshing every now and then, when a horror movie is taken seriously enough-well by most people that is-and even gets them quite jumpy at certain scenes, which was my case as well! Directed by Peter Cornwell and written by Adam Simon and Tim Metcalf and based on a true story, 'The haunting in Connecticut' is the story of a teenage boy who's stricken by Cancer and therefore sees his family relocating to a house in Connecticut in order to provide better Medical care for their ailing sun; Little did they know though, that their new home is haunted by evil spirits and hence they begin experiencing supernatural behavior which jeapordizes their lives! Strong performances by Virginia Madsen as Sara Campbell, Kyle Gallner as Matt Campbell, Martin Donavan as Peter Campbell, Elias Koteas as Reverand Popescu and Amanda Crew as 'Wendy'. In many ways this movie reminded me of 'The Amitiville Horror' (The 1979 original), which is also based on a true story! ; Join the Campbells in their struggle as they juggle between trying on one hand to take care of their seriously ill son and on the other hand desperately trying to rid the house of those evil spirits that are making their son even sicker!

So boring, and it wasnt even scary. I, myself being a horror movie fanatic was very dissapointed. I thought this movie was going to be good, but nope it wasnt. All the good parts are in the previews and the documentary version of this story was way spookier. So if you plan on seeing this movie, dont. I would of rather spent my money, on the hannah montana one. Plus my question is that wouldnt all those bodies that were in wall would of been already decomposed? And wouldnt the house have a really foul smell? Ahh so confusing.

I saw this story on a tv show called "hantise" in french, haunted something in english, anyways I enjoyed it since I already heard of that story it added a little something to the "ambiance".. anyways LoL I liked it, but this is my kind of movies so... I knew before seeing it that I was gonna like it hehe.

This movie was more then I thought it would be. There was a little more to the storyline which was a unexpected but good. If you see this movie go check out the "true" story, which aired on discovery. My rating, good but a little like the Amityville movie!

If anything the only reason I stayed in the actual theater was to see if the ending could make up for the previous 1h30 minutes of wasted time. It didn't, the ending was probably the worst ending I've seen in a while. Avoid this movie. It's a waste of money and time.

I can believe a lot of happenings in this movie were based on a true story, I just don't believe the ending, that those bodies can be trapped in those walls, wouldn't there have been a bad odour that would have made them suspicious, I don't believe that part, they are all perfectly sealed in these walls, thats where hollywood takes over.

I found this movie very entertaining, it was very hard to take my eyes off the scree. There are a few small parts were it is predictable what is going to happen but other parts were it will leave you clueless! This is a great horror movie!
