It's the best since the older version it also go Michelle Trachtenberg which is really cool by the way she's a good actress all the girls are.

Okay, this is definitely... The worst ever. The murders are just stupid. The story don't even line up properly, it doesn't flow. This is just some déjà-vu of Saw. Avoid this, don't even rent it. Not even scary, rather funny.

As a person who both waited for this film for a year and was a fan of the original, I was disappointed. I think the acting was too good for the writing. I think the part of Mrs. Mac should've been better for Andrea Martin. And Heather? God, I HATED her and yet I love Mary Elizabeth. Melissa was a good character but she was pretty flat. Kelli, the sole survivor, geez, was a bore. Too sweet to be the survivor. DANA: You'd think with Lacey Chabert, this film is worth somethin'. HER CHARACTER WAS USELESS! I mean, her one-liners were funny and her acting was really good but she should NOT have settled for such a small role. HER DEATH wasn't even scary/gory enough to make it worth her while. Megan, Eve and Clair: WERE THEY EVEN IN THIS MOVIE? They're there for two seconds and then get killed off. Clair didn't even get a single line. Lauren, however, was a fun and surprising character. A good performance from Crystal Lowe. Leigh was also fun. She was obviously [...] but was more entertaining than most of the girls. Oliver Hudson plays Kyle, the most UNLIKABLE character in this movie who I see as pretty much useless too. It's basically as if all these great actors picked a character so they can be part of the LONGEST DEATH LIST YOU COULD IMAGINE in a movie. I would have to say the story and the acting was good. Maybe even great. But I think what was wrong is the character development which, to me, is CRUCIAL in a horror movie. I was pissed that Heather died off-screen, that Mrs. Mac died so brutally and that Dana's death was so LAME. I think BLACK CHRISTMAS = Bad sole survivor, good supporting characters who die too early on, too much gore (for it to be believable, it's not gross or scary), good flash-back sequences and bad ending. So I give it a six and I'm VERY generous.

I thought it was going to be alot scarier. The previews make it look like its so scary. But its pretty predictable. I get scared really easily and I wasnt even scared... the ending was stupid too... I wouldn't see it again.

Phhheeewww... ! I had such a freakishly great time it's hard to describe... The script is ironic and full of clever touches; especially the Christmas music, the kills are great (WHAM! Pen in the eye... plastic bags... pitchfork at the back of the head... ouch) and the acting is pitch-perfect, especially from the drunk girl. See this movie expecting not the scariest film of the year but the most entertaining one!

Typical 14A Horror film. Predictable, and unrealistic. I found it more humorous than scary. In my opinion, I think the Final Destination people could have done a much better job. Much of the story did not tie in, and random events were shown that had no purpose. The acting was terrible, and in no part during the entire film did it grab your attention. Few new ideas, and same old decisions made by characters. Even the Grudge was better than this movie, and it too was pretty bad. Not worth $10, and not recommended even if seen for free.

If you've seen the original and know that it can't be outdone, then you'll appreciate this little film which may end up being a little cult classic. Could've definitely been better, but had some great segments ie. Scene under the house, the car scene and the flashbacks of billy and family. Worth seeing for fans of horror.

This movie is absolutely disgusting, from the beginning to the end. It aint scary, it's more like a movie that's suit for someone who's anorexic, cuz I freakin almost puked out my lunch... this movie doesnt have a plot nor theme, no climax, no tigger incident, nor does it have a resolution... I thought it was supposed to b a horror movie, maybe we could create a section for disgusting movies... nevertheless, it does present good quality of sound effect and I give credits to all the hard working actors/actresses...

I hate how people trashed the director, yes this is a crappy film, but it was poorly written. The director made the film as best as it could be, yes it was crap, but what do u expect. The acting wasn't all that bad and it's the director's job to direct the actors. If you don't have a good script to work with there is nothing that u can do other then get the actors to do their job. It was just very bad all together!

Here is your typical american predictable pointless wanna be horror movie. If you are like me and do not trust all the other critics, trust mine!! As said above, this movie is a copy of Final Destination, Scream, etc. The synopsis is the movie. You shouldn't expect anything else. Don't see it.

This movie was more sick then anything! That nasty crackhead mother malested her own son so she can make another baby and sayin that the new born girl with her own son is her family now! It was disgusting and jumpy at sum parts! But I enjoyed screaming in the theatre:D.

This movie was ok. Worth seeing but not twice. It was predictable. It was cool too. I enjoyed the Final Destination movies and since some of the people who made it made this movie I knew it was going to be gory and it was but it was good gore. Like the type of gore that was needed; not too much, not too little, just right. People who like Final Destination 1, 2, 3, see this movie. I think you'll be satisfied.

It looks like trash, the trailer was trash and everyone expected trash out of it... guess what : I was unexpectedly swept off my feet. 'Black Christmas' is a movie that's both disarmingly simple and twistedly entertaining. There are no dull parts and all scenes do their purposes just right; whether it's scaring you, grossing you out or making you laugh.'Black Christmas' doesn't take itself too seriously and is poised with deliciously creepy black humour. The 'unlikely' or 'unrealistic' parts never take too much place, and the kills are brutal (especially the garden fork under the house-- truly disturbing) My only advice is that if you can handle some gore, have a taste for slasher flicks and like your movie a little silly, go check out 'Black Christmas'. It really succeeds in being 'the ultimate slay ride' like the posters claim, and for that alone, I think it deserves a ten out of ten..

A funny & gory horror tale that's twisted to the bone... Me and my friends weren't really scared but we had a REALLY good time, which is something Rocky VI, Eragon and Romeo & Juliette could not deliver. The drunk girl is really funny... lol.

Compared to the original in my opinion, it was very "HOLLYWOOD". Meaning lot of gore and quick death scenes. Great characters and a fun movie to go to with friends for a scare and a laugh. I was a little disppointed though cause the trailor made it look good. BUT DAMN!!! Some scenes with Billy and Mama.. *shudder* Anyways, its worth a look. I will totally be buying it on DVD ;) Tho I noticed after the movie, some action scenes from the trailor werent in the movie... hope to see those in deleted scenes in the dvd...
