It was a good movie, I found it funny. I think that Julia Roberts is a great actress so it was nice that she was in the movie.

This is a great movie, but eventually we all have different taste and I personally did not like this movie I must admit I am not a very picky person but I was expecting much more.

I thought it was a cute romance movie. Obviously a girl's night out movie. It had some really funny parts. It is worth the money!

I assume one would either love or hate this movie, it's very funny, but a little off at times. Of course, John Cusack is godlike, I've always loved this at times underrated talent, he's simply perfect - funny, cute, fabulous timing, stunning pitch & tone - he is a comic genius. Should I just start a fan club and get it over with? Even in his early films he showed the force he would become. Sigh. Oh, the movie? Loved it. I laughed, I laughed, I laughed some more and drank some iced tea, but it tasted better because it was such a great film? Whatever. Everyone was great. Billy Crystal rarely misses. Christopher Walken rules. If these are America's Sweethearts it's not a surprise some people like Jerry Springers' shows. Uh-huh.

If I were the agents of Billy Crystal, Catherine Zheta-Jones, John Cusak, and especially Julia Roberts, I would tell them to refrain from adding "America's Sweethearts" to their cinematography C. V. This movie was well below my expectations. It hardly sparked any laughter and was, at best times, begging for life support. Hint to Julia Roberts: "Second fiddle" roles are not your best suit--too much talent to be wasted on "sidedish" roles. Why be a bridesmaid when you can shine as a bride? " Plus, a "granola" Julia has a lot less sex appeal than the "glamorous" Julia. This movie was definitely "not" a stepping stone for any of its protagonists.

"Life is a cookie, " pronounces Alan Arkin's wellness guru near the start of the underachieving romantic comedy America's Sweethearts. Let us take that deep thought a step further and say this movie is a cookie. A slightly stale generic-brand cookie. Too often it crumbles, especially given the powerhouse talent (Julia Roberts! Catherine Zeta-Jones! Billy Crystal! John Cusack! ) striving to keep this screwball confection from falling apart.

If you remove the first 30 or 45 min the movie is not to bad but the introduction of the loser guys it's long.

It's a movie that shows you what life is all about, and a movie star is one of us and not an outsider, so it's one of the movies that you can learn all about a persons life who you don't even know. I'd like to say watch it, it's worth the time.

Very good, the best is the crew espacially, incredibly funny performances by : Christopher Walken, Billy Crystal, John Cusack and the Simpsons artist Hank Hazaria. The script was kind of dull I've seen better like High Fidelity. There's not that much more to say.

Confused center of focus. That would sum it up for me. Does it center around Mr Crystal or Ms. Zeta-Jones? Yet John Cussacks character is also central. But what about Mr. Azzara's character? Without him? There'd be no story. It can't be Ms. Roberts cause it literally took 1 hour for her character developement to come to an intermediate level. Everyone seemed to be egocentrically eccentric: Immature personalities with episodes of profound wisdom and insight. My favorite character was Dave: he's a shark and doesn't make any pretense to hide it. Story developement was tediously long at the start: Too much introspection. The ending was GREAT!! 6/10.

There were 5 of us who went to see this movie and we all agreed that it was a cute funny (Billy is so so funny) film. Worth your money - not the best film ever made but if you like Julia Roberts or John Cusack or Billy Crystal or Kathrine Zeta Jones (ok any of them) then you're going to really like this film.

The movie was Okay, but could have been much better. A great cast especially Julia Roberts character could have been elaborated more with the talent she has. Cute film but I'd wait until it comes out on video cassette.

Great movie, thought the scene with the dog was hilarious. Great casting job, great interviews in this flick with Robert Downey Jr., and some pretty great perverted comedy. Would recommend to all my friends to watch this one. All you knobs who rated this one low, get a sense of humour!

I did see this movie and much to my surprise, it was not as good as I thought it would be. I am a huge fan of Julia Roberts and I felt she wasn't given enough room to do what she does best. She is a clean and encouraging actress that inspires all women in their 30-40's.

There is a reason the phrase "date movie" was invented and this film is the perfect example. Rather tame and guaranteed not too offend anyone, it doesn't break any new ground. Billy Crystal provides the best laughs in the films, two laughs to be exact. Worth seeing but don't rush out to watch it.

This movie was somewhat disappointing. Great cast that was given a storyline that was lacking in substance. Still, there were some very humourous scenes. Just too bad that I expected more for my money with Julia Roberts, Billy Crystal and John Cusack as the actors. Usually much higher quality entertainment from them.

What was the storyline again? If you're looking for anything with depth or even a plot, you're in the wrong place. I found the humor to be cheap and the acting to be even more cheap. I couldn't relate to any of the characters, and I find that to be an important part of any movie. You're better off saving your money and going to the tamtams.

I haven't seen John Cusack in a movie this uninteresting, period. I must admit that when I saw the trailers I thought it looked like a weak script with an incredible cast. That's exactly what it was. Every good movie starts with a good script. Like they say, you can't make chicken soup out of chicken @#%$. I gave it an extra point for Hank Azaria's Spanish guy and the Larry King dream sequence tirade.

This movie is not funny at all! It is a very boring and stupid movie. Julia Roberts isn't that bad, but in general the acting is very poor. Don't waste your time, see The Score instead!

Very disappointing. First 45 minutes were painful and that part of the story should have lasted only 10 minutes. The rest of the movie ain't too bad. My significant other dragged me to see this movie and I survived. Not worth more than 6$...

Oh well another cliche... some cute scenes some light laughs and you just feel like slapping Catherinze Zeta Jones for that role so bitchy... Exageration of what happens sometimes in real life of some actors. The ending very predictable. Nothing surprising. So this was better to wait on video.

Enjoyed the movie. Not quite up to what I expected from a Julia Roberts film. The bit with Billy Crystal and the doberman was in very poor taste. Other than that, it was quite funny and worth seeing at seniors rates.
