I guess this movie wasn't bad... But I wouldn't want to see it again. I went in there thinking it would have been more of a thiller than it was based on the commercials, but it wasn't. It was more for the mushy hearted.

Not too many movies can make me literally jump in my seat from being scared, but this one sure did, more than once! Excellent story, never a dull moment, amazing scenery, great twists.

The end made me roll my eyes it was so dumb -- a wierd and very Hollywood take on mysticism and questionable use of the Yanomani. Predictable in general, and Kevin Costner is the male version of Daryl Hannah -- neither can act to save their lives...

This was an excellent movie. A definite must see for everyone! It has a great ending and if you believe in life after death-you'll like this movie!

I always see movies in premiere because of my job. I have to say, this is maybe not a gold movie but it's fun and simple. The story is not like some would say, pulled by hairs because it's a fantasy movie and not a real life fact! The good side of the movie: Kevin Costner is really outstanding in his caracter and the general caracters are well balanced, the color chart of the movie has been carefully selected, you will always have a certain shade of blue everywhere in the movie. For some it might be depressing but I think it helps the mystique ambiance. The downside are specially in the scenerio, a couple of scenes are not needed and could have been ignored from the movie, ok it helps the ambience but it doesn't give something good in return. The ending is suprising and well thought. I don't think this movie will hail to the oscards but it's worth the viewing. Just don't try to find something totally original and new with great effects.
