Tetro is the best movie I've seen this year! If you like répertoire movies, this one is for you. It's a masterpiece from the great Francis Ford Coppola! Interesting story, great acting, beautifully mounted and emotionally engaging! It's also filmed in captivating Buenos Aires. Tetro is a nice work of art!

Original, artistic, mesmerizing and emotional. Vincent Gallo is handsomely stunning.

Thoroughly enjoyed movie right to the bitter end. Refreshing to see a well acted suspenseful movie without having to resort to blood and gore and people and places being blown up. Acting is excellent and being shot in black and white made the film more dramatic than in colour.

Maribel Verdu is absolutely outstanding. Very artsty film with a refreshing storyline.

I have to mention the fact that this was shot in digital. For me personally this undermined every shot in the film, and it was noticable from that first wide angle sequence in Buenos Aires The problem with this use of digital, is that scenes that exercise a great deal of silence and rely on the beauty of the shot, really didn't use their potential, and the only parts that really worked visually were those with a quick rhythm and a lot of action But I did love moments of it, many of the concepts were interesting It's something different, which is refreshing to see at the cinema. And the movie made sense within its realm, I didn't find it wreckless Acting was veeery good It felt fairly operatic, intensified, very enthralling at times They may be an individual stigma, but if this had been shot in film I think I would've at least given this an 8 or a 9.

A powerful, meaningful movie. But if you feel depressed, maybe you should pass. You sort of need a shot of Cognac after seeing the movie.
