I am not someone that is easily surprised in a movie but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised in this one. It follows such an original script (in my opinion) and the screenplay and directing are fabulous. This movie isn't straight forward but it is so well done I was amazed. A real artwork. It is the kind of movie you'd go see twice just to put the pieces together and review the beginning knowing what you know after the first viewing. Either way, it is an elaborate puzzle that is magnificiently broken apart and for you to put together, and it does come together at the end! In the genre of momento, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, etc... Ohh I have to add one thing, Ryan Gosling has got to be one of the greatest actors of his generation. He captured people in the romantic genre with the notebook, and he gave a chilled performance with this one. Watch out for this guy, he may be climbing the ladder slowly but he WILL get to the top!!!
