Original, drôle, réalisation de maitre, acteur très bon, dialogue bon, personnage excellent. Un bon film que je conseille, coup de coeur pour moi.

This movie is definitely an acquired taste, but I thought it was hilarious. A little twisted, but wickedly funny. Holly Hunter and Nicholas Cage do a great tongue-in-cheek self parody throughout that had me in stitches. I believe this was the Coen Brother's first movie, correct me if I am wrong. If you like their stuff (Fargo, etc.) you will love this one.

I would not say that movie was bad, I just think that movie was not good. I expected to laugh a bit more. My girl friend is still mad at me because I've forced her to see it.

I hated this film when I saw it. An older couple (I was in university at the time) got up and walked out. I have loved some of the Coens' other work, but didn't find the humour in this film. Who knows, I might like it better now, but I don't think I'll ever find out.

Despite a small budget, Raising Arizona is a very stylish, fast-paced movie with great cinematography. This is my favorite Coen brothers movie. And it's really interesting to see Holly Hunter and Nicolas Cage in the leads, considering how their careers have evolved since the time when this film was made. Cage is hilarious as a poor, put-upon ex-con who just can't seem to do anything right, and Hunter is very effective as his tiny but tough-as-nails police officer wife. It's not for all tastes, but it is really a good choice for fans of quirky, off-the-wall comedies full of wit and interesting characters.

This movie is very very good. The acting is brilliant and the plot is complex and funny. A great light comedy.
