User's review

This is billed as a drama but would be more aptly described as a tragi-comedy. A precariously held together, extended family of low functioning individuals blows up when a Scottish biological father arrives on the scene. Nice mix of accents From Rhys's soft welsh accent, to Midlands, cockney and harsh Scottish (helpfully subtitled) Reflects the complex lives evolving from modern non traditional family arrangments with enough familiar themes, pathos and humour to hold one's attention. Refreshingly unhollywood, not quite the pizazz of "Bend it like Beckham" more hopeful than "Trainspotting" more human than "Winged Migration".
