I had seen this film at school and we all had to express how we felt. To me at first I found it boring but then I had to visualize and see how expressive which it turned out that the film itself was quite amazingly good. It had began and the whole concept that it was only in one room and from seeing the acting how all those men were trying best to find out this murder case that to me I found it quite educated and later to be interesting hearing and that it relied mainly how the actors express their perspectives and it had absolutely no special effects. Just by seeing twelve men trying to visualize and find out who is in fault which brings in the life experiences when it comes to a murder case and you have to see who is the guilty one. It reminds me the old Perry Mason court series except this time twelve men trying to find out the decisions and seeing who is the one to blame. This is what brought the attention.

Great movie. It's so cool how the movie takes place in one room the whole time and it has so much depth. It's interesting and educational. It show's that misconceived notions about people can have horrible consequences. Like what you see isn't always what you get. And we need more people like the main character in this world defending the innocent.

The greatest ensemble cast of all time. An amazing cinematic experience. A breath of fresh air to watch a movie that relies on the acting ability of its performers instead of mindless special effects co-ordinators.

If you ever want to see amovie where nothing matters except the sheer brilliant acting of some of the best character actors to come out of hollywood. Then this is the movie to see. Nothing to see except twelve men in a Jury room deliberating a murder case. If you haven't seen this movie, shame on you. Go rent it NOW!!!

What a great movie! The entire movie, except for 3 minutes of it, takes place in one room. Think it might be boring? Think again! With such a great cast and believable characters, this movie demonstrates how each person's life experiences affects the way he/she acts and thinks. Is the suspect guilty or not guilty? Well I guess you'll have to enter the jury room and make up your own mind.

Hollywood has proved more than once that putting a bunch of high priced stars together DOES NOT guarantee success. This, however is NOT one of those cases. It is in fact one of those gems in which everything works. The story is the key but this cast really pulls it off. Even if you know the ending you really feel dragged though the process (this is a good thing) just to get there. There are several young actors who go on to bigger roles in later years and really give there all here. You can feel the heat just watching the film; feel the tension and want to jump up and punch someone because of what you see.

This is a masterpiece. Well written. Top notch actors. It draws you into the situation unlike current movies and like only a few movies in earlier decades. A must see for all who enjoy film. The 12 men represent 12 different character types that you will run into and perhaps have to deal with in real life. As a side note, several businesses have used this film in leadership seminars.

12 Angry Men is a movie that took big risks and made a big impact without using a massive budget or shock value to do so. It was a very simple theme that, when put into use, was a massive success. Twelve jurors are seated in a room to discuss whether an eighteen year old boy accused of murdering his father is really guilty or not. Eleven of them firmly believe that this boy is guilty, while one of them (Henry Fonda) has a doubt in his mind. “I’m not saying that he’s not guilty…I just think we should talk it out, ” the man says simply. The eleven others become aggravated with him, saying that he is wasting their time and that nothing will be accomplished by this “discussion”. The men agree that they should “talk it out” and that is what they do. For ninety minutes, we see twelve men talking out whether somebody is guilty or not. This could have very easily been one of the dullest films ever made, if not carried out correctly. But because of Lumet’s and Reginald Rose’s brilliant script and the impeccable actors, it is amazingly intriguing. The film goes beyond the case and goes into why the men think the boy is or isn’t guilty, and the case becomes a basis for character study. None of the men are unrealistic. There aren’t heroes and villains here. What we are given is a group of men the type of which we see every day put under a situation of high pressure. The basic concept of sticking people from opposite ends of opinion and values into a closed parameter has been used by many of today’s great directors. In The Breakfast Club (1985), John Hughes stuck five high school students from different cliques in a library for a Saturday detention. In Michael Mann’s Collateral (2004), a cab driver picks up a contract killer as his fare. This movie made a big impact by going for a different sort of subtlety. The action in this film lies not in suspense and thrills, but in dialogue. The character work in itself is what makes the movie so brilliant, but there is also an ingeniously thought out court case with unnoticed subtleties to take into account. The case the men are given seems blatantly obvious: the boy seems undeniably guilty. But as the movie progresses, different flaws to the case are pointed out and Fonda’s character changes the views of the jurors. 12 Angry Men stands on its own as one of film’s finest. It is a movie that has stood the test of time and will continue to stand it for years to come..

This movie is brilliant! Whether you are a fan of classic films or not, you will enjoy this one. This movie was redone later with stars such as Tony Danza and Jack Lemmon, and was very good, but the original with Henry Fonda is by far superior. This is a film intended to make you think and explore beneath the surface of "facts"... everything is not necessarily as it seems. You will learn to question everything once you've seen this one! Not a light-hearted film, so be in a more serious mood when watching.

Insights are shown on how jurors will base their decisions on many factors including peer pressure, personal perceptions, knowledge, biases, experiences and motivations along with the given evidence. Can the defendant in a jury trial really receive a fair trial? Do we have a correct and fair method for determining justice?

I had to watch this movie in my Political theory class and I really enjoyed watching it. It felt like the movie was so short. I also really like Henry Fonda, he's a very good actor. Overall, I would rate this movie an 9. It's so good I'm thinking of buying it.

This is such an excellent film! My family have always been aspiring legal experts, and this was just the thing for them: An excellent film all about Character and prejudice, and how one strong, persistent and passionate person can influence, through reasoning, people who believed their minds were already made up. This is a really excellent film. Black and white, if I can recall... Very intense!

Here is an excellent study of 12 individuals with diverse ways of viewing the world. Each of the jury members were susceptible to prejudices, but also had enough ethics to come to a just judgement concerning the innocent and socially unfortunate defendant. It was also an interesting study of how there can be a momentum shift regarding opinions of a group of individuals. Not only was Peter Fonda excellent in his performance so was the rest of the cast (Martin Balsam, E. G. Marshall, and others) Read the play as well, one of the best I have read.

This movie is a masterpiece. I have seen it four times. I am looking forward to watching it once again. No violence, no sex, no action, no special effects... Yet a good plot, great actors and an exceptional direcor. Definitely GrrrEAT.

The elite list of actors and top notch directing is about as perfect as a movie gets I have been a movie collector for 50 years movies of this callibre are rare don't miss a chance to see it again and again What a prize to acting Lee J. Cobb was. It takes a special film to make you forget that the whole movie is shot in one room.

This was a fantastic movie so true to life. My only regret is that I did not watch the movie before being called to Federal Jury Duty and serving on a case. I was unprepaired for the preconceptions, prejudices and lack of information on the case that were brought into the jury room. Don't make the same mistake I did, watch the movie and be knowledgeable.

This is an amazing movie about social prejudice and diversity of views. It's about perception of a same event based on one's upbringing and personal prejudices. I have seen this movie many times, including once in a Social Psychology class. It's a masterpice combining extremely talented actors and an exceptional director. Although the whole story takes place in one room, you are sorry to see the movie end. There is not one boring moment.
