This was a long ass movie, I fell asleep watching the previews, I wouldn't recommend it unless its for an old man, but gandhi is a good fellow, but anyway black and white movies are g-a-y. (rainbowy)

I thought "Gandhi" was a very well-done movie that truly depicted the life of Gandhi, and his struggle to achieve a peaceful India. It captured Gandhi's dedication for peace through non-violence. The story was nothing but the truth and how a "small brown man" was able to lead India out of British rule.

Well guys. This was realy a great movie. They showed actual Gandhi to the public. Gandhi in fact was a great man and may be people in India call him as an Incarnation of God. Yeha I think thats true. If you want to understand Gandhi well then watch this movie. Thumbs UP!!!!!

Not a fast paced Hollywood film. But it is a great story that teaches a lot about history, and a very noble man.

I didn't like it. It was way too long. I had to watch "Gandhi" for a poposterous history day project. I even had a bet made that if I watch the entire movie I get a dollar. I'm sorry maybe I'll enjoy it when I get older.

Gandhi movie is an inspiring movies that inculcated that violence is not the answers against our fellow men. It shows only how British colony made slave the people of india. I recommend it to students to know how this man made to have indenpendency...

A true movie of our times (I'm writing this in 2003) The story of a man who used peaceful civil disobediance to change the world for the better. Too bad more of us don't get it.
