Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ

The two and a half hour silent film of Ben-Hur was quite an accomplishment way back in 1925 starring Ramon Novarro as Judah Ben-Hur and Francis X Bushman as Massala. It is a bit tiring at times, but the chariot race is something to truly behold for a silent film. It's just about as exciting as the 1959 remake. Director Fred Niblo was a director to contend with during the silent era.
