    Boys Town

A very decent movie based on the life of a Father Flanagan who fought the system for the poor, forgotten boys of society on the verge of becoming a real burden on the daily life of the average person. Mickey Rooney plays against type as a rebellious hellion who has become Father Flanagan's biggest problem, coupled with keeping the community alive and healthy. Spencer Tracy won an Academy Award as the famous priest. Tracy's laid back performance, with no histrionics, is much more appreciated on a second viewing.
