What a wonderful celebration of JACK CARDIFF, one of the truly iconic cinematographers whose colour films and those in B&W will forever be lauded. The great British Gent photographed for his native England, but became a Hollywood institution as well. There are so many wonderful testimonials by international directors and producers and from a huge body of Hollywood actors who worked with Cardiff during his long, brilliant career. Mr. Cardiff was a genius with colour. One need only think of his Oscar Winning Photography for BLACK NARCISSUS from 1947, the 1956 (Italo-American) WAR AND PEACE and 1961's FANNY with its gorgeous Marseilles setting by the sea.
