    Dancing at Lughnasa

Based on the Tony Award Winning Irish play, 'Dancing at Lughnasa' was such an enormous theatre hit which did not play out well in cinemas when released despite being such an engaging story of a boy coming of age in 1930's Ireland under the tutelage of five women as different as one can find. It was one of those treasures that was simply ignored, for whatever reason, at the time. Headed by Streep with her terrific accent and supported by some of the original Broadway cast, the film is a delight and should be seen.
