    Stagecoach

Don't take John Ford's Stagecoach as literal truth as he had a way of masking the truth time and time again. But on a purely cinematic basis it is one of the best westerns ever made and from Hollywood's greatest year, 1939. John Wayne and Claire Trevor are great but Thomas Mitchell steals the show in an Oscar Winning performance as Doc. The Indians always seem to get the worst of the situation.
