As a Catholic and all too well versed in scandal by priests, this amazing Chilean film in Spanish seems to get the whole tone perfectly right! The four disgraced priests are in atonement mode but the arrival of unexpected strangers to this dark, brooding village is so relevant to upsetting the entire apple cart of these men who are trying to live down the past. The acting of all is superb and Chilean director Pablo Larrain could easily nab another Oscar Nomination for Best Oscar Foreign Film, provided CHILE submits his film as their country's Oscar Contender. Fabulous on so many counts!
