A difficult film to watch for its psychological horror, if one can call it that, as a lonely, spintsterish Shirley Stoler (Martha) hooks up with an unknown entity, in every sense of the word, Tony Lo Bianco as Ray, a man on the edge. It's a chilling tale made more so by its black and white cinematography. Very good performances make it look so real and effortless.
