This is the last of Tennessee Williams very great plays filmed with Richard Burton as a defrocked Minister who takes on an odd job as a sort of tour guide. Ava Gardner plays the lusty owner of a dwelling which is a major stop over for all concerned. Deborah Kerr re-creates the stage role of the doting grand-daughter. It's a very dark play that uncovers a great deal of the human condition. A tremendously good film, very well acted.
