    Bridget Jones's Baby

Bridget Jones's Baby was a good laugh. Several. And yet, it lightly touched the deep angst around two anxious pregnancy themes: geriatric pregnancy, and 'who the daddy'. Although I'm convinced the entire movie served as a mere a shill for the next Hugh Grant installment, it did have merit. A 15 second flashback sequence of one of the relationships reminded us of how well we know Bridget and was truly moving. Emma Thompson can do no wrong, and despite the small role, she actually stole the film. A bit overblown and dotty, predictable and potty, it's a diverting couple of hours.
