    Dangerous Liaisons

Glenn Close and the entire cast ( almost all Oscar Nominated ) are fiendishly good in this drama that originated as a 17th Century French Novel. The whole idea of doing evil almost for the sheer fun of it is eerily horrendous. I was on tender hooks even though I knew how it all played out. Director Stephen Frears was Oscar nominated as Best Director and deservedly so. Glenn Close as the jaded, wicked upper crust woman of society has never given a better performance! I absolutely loved that they kept the entire drama as a period piece. It was a gorgeous film to view, the very antithesis of the diabolical plot.
