    Giant

This movie tells the story of a rich ranching family in Texas during the mid-20th century. It is told in a series of key events. The movie is slow and would be better if it was half as long. Elizabeth Taylor is excellent, the screen lights up when she is on it. James Dean was also good, but Rock Hudson clearly got his name from his acting style, a rock could play the role as well as he did. The story was not bad, but the soundtrack was overbearing and really made the movie hard to watch.
