Essentially another disaster flick, this time set in space. But NASA should sue the producers for misrepresenting the realities of space flight. For a start, everything in space moves very s-l-o-w-l-y, with absolutely none of the crash-bang shown here. For another, Matt Kowalsky (Clooney) starts questioning Ryan Stone (Bullock) about her personal life -- in the middle of a space walk? C'mon! All of that sort of stuff gets washed out long before they even become astronauts! Lots of other similar faux-pas! BUT, I have to salute Sandra Bullock because she carries this film all by herself with no help from the plot, and she does it very well. Clooney bows out very early; I am surprised that he got star billing alongside Bullock because his role was no more than supporting.
