At twenty something, Henri hasn’t lost the candid look on life which he had in his childhood. His aim in life is to bring light (both literally and figuratively) into the heart of people. He’s the main character of this luminous, inventive, entertaining sort of fairy tale for both adults and children. A story full of hope, optimism and many wonderful surprises along the way. All that and more without being devoid of realism since it does also show (in passing and often with welcome reversals), some of darker sides of life linked to aging, globalization or being physically handicapped. Maybe it could also be considered a ‘religious’ film – but mainly in the etymological meaning of the word ’religious’: that of LINKING people together. Having watched the very talented, and often very moving Victor Andres Turgeon-Trelles in the title role, I simply cannot imagine any other actor capable of such an acting feat. Not since ‘Life of Pi’ have I watched such a humane and touching entry. Cheers to all concerned in its making!
