A mechanical failure on an airplane leads to all sorts of complications, as would be expected, but this bit of tongue in cheek movie by the great Pedro Almodovar did not make me jump for joy as some of his previous movies. What's with the idea of the two big stars? They are only in the movie to bolster its viewing possibility. It's a fairly vulgar film which doesn't particularly bother me. What does bother me is that he is rehashing the same themes in one form or another... women to Pedro seem to be all a bit fruity and I am beginning to resent his ideas or inferences that most men can be gay given the opportunity. We all know Almodovar is as gay as they come, but why doesn't he simply keep his thoughts and ideas on the subject to himself. If he wants to explore gay themes, he should do it in an objective way, not foisting his particular nonsense on others. Boy oh Boy, did Pedro ever miss the boat with this turkey; wish he had missed the plane as well.
