Well it certainly is not the "worst ever" but it is convoluted very scattered. If you are a person who likes to follow plot in a traditional formula, this is the furthest film from that. Will you care about any of these characters? Um, no... really boring... yes, stars all over the place but so what ~ This is a good film if you like to fall asleep in the theater... What a waste of these talented actors who are basically having fun with absurd acting choices. Pick up a video camera, shoot random scenes about nothing and you have Inherent Vice. Distribution is another matter which leaves me to what a distributor will distribute as long as there are famous people in the film who will con the public into buying a ticket regardless of the final product. Tripe in the highest.
