Iron man 2 was great entertainment value; Morton Downey Jr was fab, Rourke suitably evil and how often does a hilarious reference to Ulysses make it into a comic book movie? Sam Rockwell was a surprise bonus. Honestly I am not sure why some people don't like this movie... Clash of the Titans, now that was a disappointment...

It is simple... people have different tastes or expectations in a movie that's all. I haven't seen this one yet but I suspect that many reviewers are saying that the action is less than the first edition, and there seems to be to many extra non-essential characters to the storyline... I think that sometimes when a movie is given a title that is part II or III or VI, the audience has higher expectations for the newer version to be done at a higher level. If one were to just watch this movie without ever having seen #1, they might view it in a more neutral mind set. Downey was in a movie called Sherlock Holmes and I think that many people went in expecting a different type of movie simply by its title. Does that answer your question?
As was this, as was this... disappointing!
