My brother told me the entire plot to this film when I was too young to be allowed to see it. The movie is embedded in my psyche. I imagined the scenes before I saw them, understood the jokes, anticipated the scares, and appreciated my brother's admiration. You might think that seeing the picture was anti-climactic, but it wasn't. I have probably watched this film more than any other. I love the way it wraps up in the last ten minutes, a payoff that totally delivers! Forty years now since it galvanized North America, Jaws is a piece of nostalgia akin to your parents' music collection. I cannot imagine life without it.
