    Click here to show this review.     I like Jules Verne and I don't mind Brendan Fraser but I couldn't stand this movie. I found it boring. The special effects and backgrounds looked weak. Some of the acting by Fraser and Hutcherson was awful. Some of the scenes were too stupid to be believed - the main one being able to get cell reception in the center of the Earth. The nice car placement advert at the end didn't help matters. The 1959 Pat Boone version was more enjoyable.
