A film of undeniable greatness, this film of photographer Salgado brings us in contact with the most unbelievable events of world tragedies or any number of earthly events that have staggered the imagination. It is visually a film that is beyond glorious while all the time tugging at our heart strings. I'm not always the biggest fan of Wim Wenders, but this truthful film with a style of pure genius can and does stagger the imagination. I didn't know much of this subject matter, but I suppose Salgado could not keep up with his unbelievable photography which is so painful and possibly crush the human spirit. No matter, Salgado has more than ably shown the human condition in various parts of the world which prove that man is a hell of a lot more resilient than one may think! Salgado has to be considered a great man no matter which way you view his life!
