This movie is just a copy/paste version of previous film. A guy that was wrongfully framed is trying to get back to the bad guy by threatening to jump from a rooftop while his friends steal some diamond. This movie is full of clichés. Example: bad guy standing still while some drop of water is "suspensfully" going to fall on his head therefore notifying him of the presence of the thieves but wow the guy moved just before it hit his head. That surely kept me on the edge! Not to mention the acting was bad. Ed Harris could have been much more but they prefered to focus on the guy about to jump (which, by the way, I developped no sympathy for) There is no chemistry between the actors. The plot is ok, it's nothing new as I have previously stated. Dialogue is poor. Some poor Cop vs bad guy movie. FAIL!!! Just rent Die Hard for god's sake.

Maybe you should stick to Tin-Tin type movies. This movie was different from the other movies you're referring to with a similar plot-line. In this movie, the negotiating detective had a history of coming to the aid of distressed police officers. The diamond-heist scenes were a bit cheesy, yes, but the film flowed well overall and had a sweet ending. You must've been in a bad mood going to see this film, or you maybe you just were wishing you had seen TinTin again instead of this one. :)
