    Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom

Nelson Mandela is most assuredly the definition of Hero in my lifetime and much of this movie/his story supports that opinion. This is especially true when you witness, quite graphically, his & his peoples treatment under the weapon of apartheid only to hear him say as he was trying to end violence - "I forgive them and if I can after 27 years, then we all can". Having lived in his time I thought I knew the story of Mandela quite well but this is truly an inside look at the life of a remarkable individual and teaches one quite a great deal more. The costumes and set designs were a tremendous match to the real pictures of Mandela events shown during the credits but more importantly the attention to detail by the actors and director were magnificent. Their skills, talent and appearance were captivating. I thank all involved in providing a complete enough picture of a man I admire in a compelling, interesting and some times humorous, some times tearful but always heartfelt manner = BOOYA!
