This film was a sort of comeback film for Debbie Reynolds who was touted at the time as a possible Oscar nominee. It all concerns Mom and son who moves back home. Its hard to admit to oneself that with the passing years things can't ever be the same again no matter how one tries. It happens to all of us. Time has a way of seeing to that. Debbie was perfect in an understated performance, nothing of her singing and dancing days perceptive in this feature, letting it all go for a creation of an ordinary mom who always seems to be there.
