Ouija

Don't confuse Ouija, 2014 with the Arabic film Ouija of 2006, a handsome piece of film making. Have to state I saw Ouija free on my SCENE card, something I do with sub-standard fare. Ouija, 2014 is a film so devoid of merit, not a single redeeming feature. Think of the dead, conjuring the dead and other clichés like a spooked house with an evil past, séances, anything predictable seen on screen a million times, everything thrown into this revolting project, everything but the kitchen sink. OUIJA makes ANNABELLE look like a classic with its sense of atmosphere along with a distinctive style. Don't expect anything of the sort with OUIJA! Since it has nothing to offer, it turns its attention to sound, I mean seriously intense levels of volume as to drive you crazy, using this freaky volume to create what it thinks is a sense of atmosphere... merely to distract you from all the crap on screen. If you stuck around for the closing credits, you will have noticed the film is based on THE HASBRO GAME... TOTALLY UNKNOWN TO ME. Checked it out It's a board game of death and killing! Seriously would like to know what basket case came up with this movie concept plus what nutcases backed the film financially! Wish you would institute a zero rating. "1" is a bit too high for this disgusting film that hasn't the slightest shred "of anything!" A project of horrific proportions!
